Tongs Chicken is right in the heart of the 4000, located on Elizabeth Street, I am guilty of walking past this place countless of times, but this time I let my inquisitiveness and my trusty nose guide me into this treasure trove of spicy sweat and sour sauce and cheesiest of the cheese corns and dragged Stuart along with me.

- T,

Tongs Chicken is a bog standard Korean fried chicken joint, that isn’t a bad thing rather a welcome addition to the lacklustre inner city dining scene. Located where skinnies and All Star Tattoos used to be is a slice of Korean delight, next to a few more good looking Korean restaurants, this no frill offering has to be by far the best of the bunch.

Sign of any good Asian eatery are the little side dishes and these definitely did not disappoint, crunchy sweat and sour radishes, little side salad with a vanilla dressing which is kind of weird but tasty and the crunchy sweet rice crackers.

The beer of choice was Hite which is just about the crispiest beer period, however they didn’t have the matching glass ware, no biggie still got plastered after three jugs.

Cheese Corn is one the best frigin recent discoveries, its simply cheese and corn and its amazingly sickly delicious and wrong, wonderfully wrong.

Spicy Soy & Garlic, was ridiculously moist not oily just fried and dressed to perfection by far my favourite way to eat fried chicken.

Stu’s favourite and my close second favourite is the Spicy Sweet & Sour, which packed just enough spice to satisfy.
